How to juice up tonight's GOP debate

I love the idea behind tonight's CNN/Youtube debate. However, it is too bad that the questions will all be ones that were submitted several week ago, at the latest.

There stuff in the news these last few days that I'd like to hear the cadidates speak to.

There's this "Declaration of Friendship" signed by President Bush yesterday that reads to me like an intent to make Iraw a virtual American colony state.

I'm sure you've all read today's revelation at Politico.com which claims Rudy Giuliani billed obscure New York agencies for the security detail that covered him during his extramartial affair, while he was governor.

"Renokned" Canadian money manager Stephen Jarislosky is calling for a unified becasue the dollar has fallen so far below the looney.

Actually, participating in the 'Cartoon Debate' is so undignified as to beggar the imagination. I guess it just proves a politician will do anything, o matter how embarrassing, to get in front of the camera.

I don't quite understand what's so awful about the YouTube debates. To be honest people just come across as just old people hating anything new or innovative. Kind of like how conservatives generally seem anyway.

The candidates are running for president, not class clown. This format is right up there with kissing pigs at the county fair......

You could go online & ask them which one stopped beating his mother first.

But they wouldn't use your question unless you asked it in drag and insulted the President as an aside...

JIMV:

Politicians - yes, even republican politicians - perhaps especially republican politicians, need to acknowledge the changing landscape relative to how some people prefer to get their news & information. It’s about trying to engage and reach a demographic group and getting a message out. It may not meet your definition of what seems ‘Presidential’ or achieve a certain style point threshold, but it is nonetheless a valid endeavor.

And if they come across as seemingly running for “class clown”, perhaps it has more to do with the participants and less to do with the format.

Why don't you give a serious explanation as to why you are so against them?
